Q : For a cartilage earring—my ear is healed but can't figure out the difference between 6 and 6.5mm length. They both say 1/4 in in the description. Please advise. Thank you.

In order to provide a more accurate length size, we have shown the exact mm length which is 6.5mm for this item.  For U.S. customers we show 1/4" since most customers are used to the inch measurement.

Q : I currently have a 16g cartilage piercing' this only comes in 18g. I'm a little worried it won't fit through my ear.

18g is thinner than 16g so you should have no problem with the item fitting in your ear.
