What is PVD color coating?
PVD, or Physical Vapor Deposition, is a vacuum coating process that produces a brilliant decorative and functional color finish. PVD utilizes a titanium nitride that provides an extremely durable nickel-free color coating. PVD coatings are more resistant to corrosion from sweat and regular wear than gold plating or anodizing.
Advantages of PVD Coating
- Durability
- Corrosion resistant
- Much longer lifetime than gold plating or anodizing
- PVD coatings are about 10 times thicker than standard gold plating
